Snoopy Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 HelloThis is my flak fliegerbluse, for a obergefreiter. It has original loops for one badge. The badge is an original "Luftwaffe erdkampf abzeichen". The tunic has a trade patch for a "funker". The tunic is in used condition. Hope you like it.Snoopy
Paul R Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Nice one!! I love seeing tunics with the trade badges! What is the RBN number stamped on the liner?Paul
Snoopy Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Nice one!! I love seeing tunics with the trade badges! What is the RBN number stamped on the liner?PaulThanks Paul. I just love the bright colours of these tunics. I can't find any RBN number. The liner is stamped with "L.B.A. 42", and the usual size stamp. I will post another tunic in a couple of minutes. Snoopy
Snoopy Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 (edited) Hello again This is another of my tunics. I don't know if it's rare, but I believe that it's a bit harder to find. It's an early fliegerbluse (prewar) for an unteroffizier. The early tunics had no external pockets. The rank insignia is a bit unusual, because the "tresse" doesn't go around the entire collar. I have actually seen this in period pictures. The tunic has a faint inkstamp in the liner.Snoopy Edited April 15, 2007 by Snoopy
Snoopy Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 This are the inkstamps in the lw trousers, that came whith the tunic.
Paul R Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 This are the inkstamps in the lw trousers, that came whith the tunic. Thanks Snoopy! The NCO tabs(used for overcoats until 1942) on the flight tunic are very unusual.
Snoopy Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Hello PaulThe tresse is not attached to the collarpatches. The tresse are machinestitched to the collar, except that in this case the tresse only goes around the patches. I believe I read somewhere that this was sometimes done to preserve materials.Snoopy
Paul R Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 That is the first I have seen this done on a Fliegerbluse, yet I have seen it done more than one drill tunic!!! Very interesting piece! I would love to see this one up close!
