    Bulgarian/Romanian? badges

    Recommended Posts

Just received a couple of Rumanian badges, thought I'd add them here.

1- Screwback. For some sort of Rumanian-Soviet friendship whatever??

2- Pinback. Obviously for the 1974 Spartakad of ____??

    Help???

    Hallo Ed,

I dont think there is a Romanian connection either with the one on the left, the colour of the flag white, green over red to the rear is not the Romanian colours of Blue, Yellow, Red.

    OR

The second a sports / athletics badge, again I cant see a connection to Romania, who by the way use Roman Fonts not Krylic style like Bulgaria.

Kevin in Deva. Transylvania, Romania.

Yes, Bulgarian. The left one is "excellent in the combat and the political training". The right one is sports - "7th Republican spartakyad" - commie athetics, national level event.

Here is the earlier, enamel version:

Bulgarian Political badges: I see from various posts and from ebay that numerous versions of the Bulgarian excellent Political work badges exist! Has anyone difinitive information on these variants? I suspect the variants span numerous years and reflect the later trend in making badges in the cheap lightweight materials! I attach a picture too of a badge that does not fit the normal variant listing and has been designated as political training......is that so? Can anyone help in this regard?

Take care - all the best, Drew
