    Guys,

For what it's worth, I regularly see quite a few of these medals at the local club meeting although I personally never paid any specific attention to them.

My impression is that these have been seriously "restruck", and not necessarily by the official producer...

    Dear Marc,

    that's a highly interesting aspect :jumping: .

Do these restrucked medals differ from the original awarded ones  ?

The market price of an genuine medal might be somewhere around EUR 500,- to EUR 1.000,- (or even higher ... ), I guess. But the price for such a "Collectors Edition" should be only a few EUROs.

The 12th of june 1999 had been a great day for the Russian Army  (... and the end of general Clark's brilliant career :P ).

    Best regards

BTW: And General Walker got his deserved knighthood ... :D

    Gentlemen,

despite the very moderate starting prices, Jani's two medals remained unsold at the Stuttgart-auction.

    Best regards

I would be interested to know how to make sure medals are made by original manufacurer. I am aware that a lot of these were sold as unissued - even with quite low serial numbers and they dont particularily interest collectors (As seen in the auction) - this is the only type I have ever seen. I just would like to make sure two medals we had are made by original maker. Does anyone have a picture of actually awarded medal?

I have already seen medals similar to the ones posted by Gaffken for sale at low price in Izmailovo market. In my opinion, unissued medals with restruked numbers.

I have seen some (real ?) in Museums, and maybe have pics of the reverse... I'll check.

    Cheers.
