Bob Lyons Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Here is an interesting souvineer from the early part of the war, I believe Krosno was one of the Polish military stripstaken over by the Luftwaffe after the invasion, and from what I have read, the town of Krosno was really worked overby the Nazis, and most of the Jewish inhabitants of the town were deported with most being killed before the end of the war. This plate is from the Luftwaffe Signals unit stationed there, and has some skilled workmanship involved withthe intricate carving that has gone into making this souvineer of the war....
Bob Lyons Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 and in a bit closer, it does look like it may have been slightly coloured at one stage...Bob
