Bob Hunter Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I couldn't resist adding this to the monster saxon or Monty Python group...
Jim P Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 You gotta love these engraved crosses, you get a little bit of the personal history as well.Jim P
Glenn R Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Beautiful engravings. Just the icing on the cake for an EK in my opinion.
Frank M Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 I have an example of an engraved 1939 EK I of my own, but only the one. It has a simple, but nice engraving of the recipients name, and the date of its having been awarded. I will post a pic of it once my probationary status falls to the way side, allowing me to post the larger sized format of it.I always enjoy seeing the examples of others and just what sorts of engraved Iron Crosses they have come across. These examples posted here truly show some history of their time. Thank you for sharing these examples here.Respectfully,Frank
joe campbell Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 bob and jacques-many thanks for the great pix.these are at times very moving in theirsimplicity, and in my estimation add agreat deal of character to something whichis a source of great enjoyment to me anyway.ditto on the posting parameters, frank.joe
