Ulsterman Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 actually this doesn't really belong here in this subforum as the photo is probably from 1917/early 1918:
Guest Rick Research Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Oh HO! No name? that would be too easy. But there were only 24 Lts/Lts dR who got this-- all but 2 of them in Inf Rgt 95and there were only15 Vizefeldwebels and Offizierstellvertrern whoc got this who might have turned into Leutnants-- only 4 not from Inf Rgt 95 and 1 of THOSE was aa flyer, we can exclude.I still can't read the shoulder board number.WE might just get lucky if you can see what that says.
Ulsterman Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 (edited) nothing-nothing...is on the back!!I tried to get it as big as I can -it's 300dpi (!). I think the epalette insignia almost liiks like an "h". I swear I shall write everything on the back of my own (quite boring) snaps one day. grrrrr... Edited May 24, 2007 by Ulsterman
Rick Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 [quote name='Rick Research' date='May 24 2007, 07:49 ' 1 of THOSE was a flyer, we can exclude.
Guest Rick Research Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Vizefeldwebel Paul Wettich in Staffel 15 of BoGOHL 3 got his on 22 May 1918. Neal had him as "Emil" but it was Paul: horrible, horrible handwriting.
