My German Wound Badge collection

Hey gang....those of you who know me, know that I'm mostly a buckles, armband and helmet guy...but I also like Wound Badges. I'm trying to get one of each type. At this point, my next one would be a gold ww1 cut out. Still trying to hunt one of those down - just not having much luck finding one !!

In any case I thought I would post a quick pic of where my collection is at! More to come (I hope).

The navy ones are also on my list....but I think those are as rare as hen's teeth - and much more expensive! In due time though - I'll just try to finish off the ground forces first! LOL!

Glad you like 'em Joel! There's something about these badges....each one has a story, or two, or three, or ..... hahahahaha.....you know what I mean!

Thanks Paul....Here's a quick question: were the navy issued WB's only issued in WW1? or were some also given out in WW2?

Great care must be taken in your quest for a navy.Many fakes and remakes.

Ask for help in this area. none given ot for ww2.Care should also be given for

a gold cut.I tend to keep to basics and shy away from the oddballs.

I've only seen one navy offered on WAF.....I'll certainly be asking for advice if and when the time comes. I've located a gold cut out that's legit! Condition isn't perfect but it'll do as these are pretty hard to come by!
