A really interesting one- I find recipients who are famous revolutionary journalists,"old guard" revolutionaries, army officers in Angola and a spy who infiltrated an exile group in Miami.

Reyes was killed in Bolivia with Che.

Another important one to collect.

This is a State Security related Medal (Juristic). Awarded in recognition to its outstanding and decisive work for the Office of the public prosecutor.

Given to Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel and to other people for valour and active participation acts in relevant situations or combat actions, where an effective work to the consolidation of the defence of our homeland and the keeping of the principles of socialism had been accomplished.

It can also be given in exceptional cases to friendly countries? citizens for the same reasons.

Don't know either-but I did hear the Council on Foreign relatins Cuba "expert" referto the Interior Ministry troops as the "Cuban Stasi" yesterday on NPR.
