Paul R Posted July 12, 2007 Author Posted July 12, 2007 I was looking at the the below... is it possible that some of the double letters could be "f"s? They look very similar.
Paul R Posted July 12, 2007 Author Posted July 12, 2007 Assessor is the only thing that makes sense. Just checking.
Paul R Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 I was reading a book on the Luftwaffe General Staff by Andrea's Neilson(sp?), who was a member of the General Staff, himself. He wrote the book in the 50's for the Air Force Academy.Anyway, I read a passage that stated that "specialists without military training" were admitted into the General Staff. Also, directly mentioned are members of the Corps of Engineers being brought into the General Staff. I am about 1/3 of the way through the book. I will post any further discoveries here. Here is something I found on Ebay.de. A death card for a Flight Engineer who was in the General Staff!!! This breaths a bit of life into my General Staff uniform with the Assessor name tag!
jcsanche Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Amazing Paul It is great that you are studyng and learning about General Staff. It is exciting and make perfect sense. You need people with specific knowlwdge in particular areas to help in the planification of a war. I though admonistrators or specialist were not allowed to be part of the General Staff.thanks for the teachingJuan
