David M Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) HiI am looking for the career and decorations of:Friedrich Wilhelm Georg Ernst Prinz von Preussen, geboren D?sseldorf 12.02.1826, gestorben Berlin 02.05.1902.Hope you can help me out!regardsDavid Edited July 9, 2007 by David M
David M Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) Thanks Glenn, that's great. However I do not see his CHHGL1 listed. I did expect him to be the Prinz Georg von Preussen who got it in 1853, as there are no other prussian princes with first name Georg around that time as far as I can see...regardsDavid Edited July 9, 2007 by David M
Glenn J Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 And his awards as listed in the 1901 Rangliste, the last edition in which he was listed prior to his death.RegardsGlenn
David M Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 I think by this time, it would be mentioned as the HG1? Because from 1876 onwards, the Grandduke of Hessen and the Rhine awarded the Houseorder as his own. Am I right there?DavidAnd his awards as listed in the 1901 Rangliste, the last edition in which he was listed prior to his death.RegardsGlenn
Glenn J Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 DavidThe HG1 is the Hannoverian Guelphen-Orden. The HL1 is the Gro?herzoglich Hess. Ludewigs-Orden.RegardsGlenn
Dave Danner Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 In Prussian and Bavarian ranklists, the Golden Lion is usually HgL
