Paul R Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I am considering the sale of at least one of these to fund a purchase. I am just verifying that they are OK before I look like an idiot on the sales page.
Paul R Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 Although they look similar, they are two different dies.
Paul R Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 The one I replaced, glows. The other does not. The both feel 100% and I believe it glows because it was exposed to something.
don Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Could be...Did you do a lighter test on one of threads?just looks new, thats all. don
Paul R Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 Now what I am looking for, exactly, when I ignite the thread?
Tiger-pie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 (edited) Now what I am looking for, exactly, when I ignite the thread? If it is natural fibre then you will get ash, if it is modern synthetic it will melt. Don't use an oxy torch!Regards;Johnsy Edited July 24, 2007 by Tiger-pie
TerryG Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 There have been a number of threads on the WAF regarding the Memel medals and no clear conclusion I believe. The shape of the letter m in particular seem to be at the centre of many of these threads. The curvature of the m was reported to be a bad sign. Maybe others can add to this.
