Hallo Gentlemen,

Some very nice badges presented here as well as pictures of them in wear.

I was told that the German organisation D.A.V.

was originaly founded by ex-members of the Gebirgsjager Korps.

I attach a picture of a 40 year membership badge, made by C. POELLATH, SCROBENHAUSEN:

Its 30mm in diameter.

What is most interesting is the presence of holes in the fabric where the eagle used to be before he added the edelweiss.

Who would buy that cap if offered today?
