EK 1914 New EK2 LV 29?

I just recieved this nice EK2. It's marked on the ring LV then a 2 and one hard to read number. Maybe a 9, although LV29 is not listed as a maker on my lists. What is the story behind these LV marked series of EK2's? What makers have the members here come across?

I have one of these too. The stamping is very crisp but the mark if double hard to decypher.

I also have LW, another one that doesn't crop up as often as KO, WILM, SW and the rest.

That's how mine is. The LV is good, the other two marks not so great. Who knows?

i have at least 4 or 5 LV marked crosses, each with

different two digit numbers, including LV 29.

must be an internal system within the company...

worker number?

batch number?

I never saw LV29 listed as a maker anywhere but I know that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm going to assume this is a 29 since someone else has one.

Steve,I don't think a complete list with all 2nd class makers exist. The "LV" are an own collecting field......no,I haven't got one with a 29,but I know a lot of different variations(shame on me they are not in my collection).They are interesting crosses,so forget about the list and try to find the others!

That's waht I figured. I know the list is not gospel and other makers exist. The list is a guide that helps but it's not perfect. I knew it was LV something and I never had one so I went for it. It's a nice one anyway.
