Hello. I was wondering if anyone could Identify this medal I recently found in a box full of old bits n' pieces. I am presuming its German, so please forgive me if its not the correct place to post this question.

It is German - but not an award.

It says: "Help for German Prisoners of War, 1915"

It was given for donations to a POW relief fund. Can't remember the name of the organization, but don't think it was the Red Cross. I've only seen one other like it. Nice bit, or is it a piece?

kriegshilfe is war relief, and did fall under the Red Cross,

there is a series of these, and perhaps more will come out

of hiding, the Austrian ones have been trickling out,

everytime I think I know the whole series,

sometihing new shows up.
