The berlin parade on June the 6 th of 1939, has been very well organized. Around 18000 former members of the LC marched. You have to add the other regular troop, the officials, the guests, etc...

These latest ones are of my interest for that topic.

The family of the participant did receive a kind of invitation, and tickets for the participation to this big parade. In the case of this group here are which were sent to the family to facilitate their participation:

    - A -20% reduction railway ticket

    - ticket for the hotel and restauration

    - invitation for the parade (tribune)

    - invitation for the others organized activities

It is amazing that these papers remained in family, with the other documents of course biggrin.gif

    jacques-

    magnifique!

with all the focus on SK's, docs, etc,

it is these common in 1939 and NOT common

in 2005 groups that lend depth, character,

personality , and class to a collection.

    i am duly impressed.

    More like NEVER seen! love.gifjumping.giflove.gifjumping.gif

Truly amazing! cheers.gif Not only gave I never SEEN anything like this, I never even thought there WAS such a massive, expensive undertaking provided for attendees!

My understanding of the N?rnberg rallies, for instance, was that the participants paid their own way.

And I always thought half the residents of Berlin spent all their time on sidewalks just watching such parades-- or were locals bussed in from work or schools to make up an event's crowd.

Now we see they were Guests Of Goebbels, most expenses paid. Wow!

    What an incredible find! Congratulations!
