Now that is something - I wonder if these were ever produced? From the statement of 'furled, unfurled or folded in a triagle' I would guess that Igor was hammering these out in the woodshed with tin and red paint?

Though the actual description is a bit off, this is a very early captured document transcription for the newly created RSFSR Order of the Red Banner.

Here is one being worn (1st of the two awards over his left pocket) by Guards Lieutenant Colonel Kapustin in WW2:
