I think the paint on the wreath hides a lot of detail but it seems a genuine late piece to me.

I?d go for it being a good one. This type of maker mark has been discussed at length and is accepted as the ?Type 2? by the collecting community.

Thanks everyone. It looks as if the fighter clasps are a go, but I'll have to continue the hunt for a pilot badge and PO badge!
