Snoopy Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 HelloI would like to show you an item that I have in my collection. I must admit that I haven't seen many of these. It's called a "Schutzh?lle f?r zielkarten". My german isn't very good, but I believe that it's for target maps. The frame is made of aluminium. The clear cellulloid would protect the map, and one could write on it, with grease pencils. The manufacturer is Paul Gebhardt S?hne, Berlin. My camera wasn't able to photograph the markings on the aluminium frame, but they are as follows: BAUMUSTER SH 2 Fl. Nr. 23855 BERLIN GEW. 0,21 Kg FERTIGST. 15.3.41 BAL 1389

My german isn't very good, so I have allways thaught that it was for some sort of target map, but I guess that it could allso be a document holder. Maybe you could post a photo of yours?Snoopy
