gregM Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 (edited) Here is one I just picked up at a show today.A post war replacement piece. Nothing really rare or unusual but the condition of the piece just called to me. The paint is almost mintand the silver highlights to the crown, "W" and date make for a nicelooking cross. gregM Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 The backside shows the typical hinge/pin set-up used on these crosses.
Mike Dwyer Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 As I said on WAF, Greg, that's really beautiful!!
joe campbell Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 interesting to see what the blue does to the cross...which is a VERY nice one!wonder if the paint on the date and the"W"was removed to highlight them???very nice example!joe
gregM Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 wonder if the paint on the date and the"W"was removed to highlight them???joeI don't think so. There is still remnants of paint on the "W" If I were toremove it on purpose, I would have cleaned it much better then it is
