EK 1914 need help identifying Iron Cross maker mark

any ideas what maker mark this is?

It's not an M because it's not an M cross. They have a distinctive look. It might me a Z, a fairly common maker.

for quite some time....

i am about 52% sure it is a "K".

i'd love to be definitive about it, but can't.

When I'm back home I will have a look in my database........when I remember right a "K" looks different!
