EK 1914 British made Propaganda Iron Cross

Is there any way to tell if this is period WW1 or are they faking these too? As seen in Previtera's Iron Cross book on page 222.

I think there are no fakes of these.

I do however take issue with the claims that these were dropped over German lines as some folks seem to think.

This type was given out by a British Newspaper in WW1.
