Steve campbell
Just recieved this interesting piece. It's a 1914 EK1 maker marked L/11 for Duemer. With an LDO number, this cross was obviously made in the last few years of World War Two as a replacement piece. Of course it has the frosted beading and other characteristics of a TR era EK and doesn't bear too much resemblance in finish to the World War One equivelants. These are still pretty cool and not that easy to come by if you ask me. A good variant for the collection. One thing though. I'm not sure what that discoloration on the 9 o'clock arm is. It almost looks like a brush stroke. I'll have to look into it.
Steve campbell
The rear. You can see the diffrence in the finish here compared to an Imperial era example.
