gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 (edited) Back of other ranks jacket Edited December 18, 2007 by gary9
gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 This one is an unusual one. I believe this jacket is transitional jacket from the M36 to the M42. This is an all police green jacket including the collar and cuffs, conforms to the M42, but unusually it has piping around the collar and down the front of the jacket, which conforms to the M36, the jacket is also fully lined as the M36, the back of the jacket is also cut the same as the M36 with the 4 seperate panels. A one of a kind jacket transitional M36-42.
gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 Close up of police green piped collar, a nice addition
gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 Eagle without district name as per the 1942 regulations
gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 (edited) back of the jacket in the M36 cut, missing the coloured stripes, but still retaining the belt ramp buttons Edited December 18, 2007 by gary9
gary9 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 Regular M42 combat jacket with straight edge pockets, it has been suggested that the jacket with the straight edge pockets is a fake, however, photographic evidence exists that shows both the straight edge and scalloped pockets being worn together in the same photo.
