EK 1914 Another Blued Core EK1 Silber

This sweet example just arrived. It's an EK1 with the blued core, marked Silber on the rear. I'm really happy with this one. These blued cores are nice.

Thanks. I have been fortunate enough to pick up some great pieces in the last little while. I'm almost up to 100 Iron Crosses!

The cross is not in the best shape but the core is definately blued.

Being back from a collectors meeting yesterday evening(SDA and MFF members)...I had your EK type in hands! Greg-you need a big washer(2 holes) and you are right with the blued core.....they painted the blued core! The EK I had a look on was in nearly perfect condition.....just a little loss on the 3'o clock crossarm.....under the paint it was blued! The hunting season is opened!

I don't know what to think about that. I looked mine over again

and I didn't see any evidence of it ever being painted.

The one I've seen was clearly painted! And where the paint was gone it was blued-and the painting was "professional" done,no traces at the frame! I emailed him to get some pics....
