AlecH Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Gau München - Oberbayern Hi, Here's a large 50mm tinnie, unsure if its really in the right thread, it certainly has Gau München stamped on it, but looking at the gear cog in the middle its possibly more connected to trade, handwork, industry. Its highly priced in Tieste's catalog.
Wood Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) Nice badges Alec, especially the one above. Its KdF related, with the dictinctive mobile swastika around the outside of the cogwheel, Regards, Pete Whats it made of? Edited August 23, 2009 by wood
AlecH Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Hello Wood, Its metal - steelplate / tinplate, magnetic with a silver coloured washed back. I must say, looking through the threads, you have a good large collection of tinnies. Myself, I used to be a Handsworth lad, travelling on 79 bus and latterly metro to Wolverhampton. Cheers

Scowen Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Pete, I noticed a Gau Hamburg a few posts back http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=24526&view=findpost&p=369543 I recently picked this one up which is a similar design with the red plastic diamond cut edge backing. I wonder whether these were part of a set & if there are other designs? Cheers Don
Wood Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Hmmm, I missed that one over at WA. There are three produced in the same manner, but they are not a set, at least not to my knowledge. However they may have been variants availiable at the same venue. Pete
