Chris Boonzaier
Very unusual to find stamped bayonets this late in the war, maybe because it was such a small unit...A nice find from yesterday....
Chip
Very nice markings Chris! Here are some shoulder straps that the enlisted men would have worn. Prussian on the left and Bavarian on the right.Chip Edited March 1, 2008 by Chip

Thomas
Very nice markings Chris! Here are some shoulder straps that the enlisted men would have worn. Prussian on the left and Bavarian on the right. ChipDid you see these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=280204980985 They are blue backed though?
Chip
Thomas,These are all fakes. The winged shell insignia are glued on and the numbers are fashioned from cord, rather than being chain stitched. They look great from a distance, but they are reproductions. Of course, the backing on a M15 should be feldgrau, graugr?n or residagr?n (badge cloth).Chip
Chris Boonzaier
Just picked up another Flak Stamped bayonet... I wonder if it was only the pocket sized units that still stamped bayonets late in the war?
