    Front of citation

    During period while on front in Patriotic War he completed 36 sucessful combat missions in accompanying Sturmovik gathering intelligence information

    on enemy. He could be depended on to provide cover for his lead aircraft, and as result lead aircraft carried out five aerial attacks on two opposing

    enemy aircrafts. During this time was there a sinlge loss to bombers he was escorting nor any loss to his own aircraft.

    Regarding citation.

    Recommended for Order of Patriotic War 1st class. Through the chain of command ended up with the Order of Red Banner.

    Dear Friends.

    I requested research for my Order of Red banner S/N 266464. I was so happy when I received research ,

    to find out the order is belongs to pilot. After checking award card I find the award card has different serial number for order of Red Banner. On top of digit 2 someone put digit 4.I requested my researcher to do the research again . At the moment I'm waiting and hopping this research is for my Order of Red Banner. :banger:

    If my glasses don't completely fail me, that is not the case. Your order is 266,464, but the Uchetnaya Kartochka shows 266,462.

    But if you check the Uchetnaya Kartochka in the corner is nr4 on tiop of 2.

    I received this research from Podolsk for this order S/N 266464.

    So now I don't know if this research is correct with my ORB serial number. So I reqwested rechecking research. :unsure:

    In my attempt to help out I present this translation for review an critique by the forum members.

    During period while on front in Patriotic War he completed 36 successful combat missions

    in accompanying Sturmovik aircraft gathering intelligence information on enemy. While in support role he could be depended on to provide cover for his lead aircraft, and as a result,

    his lead aircraft carried out five aerial attacks and brought down two enemy aircrafts,

    without a single loss to the bombers he was escorting nor to his own aircraft.

    16.2.45 While in accompanying PE-2 over target he noticed ME-109, Comrade Skurikhin radioed and warned the lead aircraft, as a result of the battle and reliable cover brought down one ME-109, and after checking the status of his lead aircraft, left the battlefield.

    He is well versed in the ?Airacobra? aircraft and is competent in utilizing its performance.

    He is also a technical pilot through good training , which is why he fulfills his combat assignments even in adverse conditions , and, has not had a single accident.

    Respectful to his senior officers. Strong political and moral convictions.

    For completing 36 successful combat missions providing dependable cover for his lead aircraft,

    which allowed his lead aircraft to bring down two enemy aircrafts- deserving of state award

    order ? Patriotic War 1st class?.

    I saw that '4' in the upper corner, but I personally have a problem with it: the handwriting is completely different from everything else on the document, and this is an unusual style for Russian scripting.

    I know this someone make error. I think my the man I reqwested this research. He probably find the mistake and put 4 to cover, and misleading me.But I will find soon I order anther research.

    Hi Marc. :jumping:

    After six months of waiting I received from my researcher Classified awarding protocol for the RB 266464

    You can see now the research was correct and your problem is over.

    I'm happy I have another Soviet pilot research.

    Rick ( koopyetz) will translate the document and he will post on the Forum.
