Wessel Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Here is an unusual item. Coats are not my thing but it looked too good to miss. Set up with (incorrect) HJ Marine cap and SA belt and dagger. The buttons are Assmann and the patches are for a Truppfuhrer of Sturm 3 of Kraftboot Staffel Rhein.
Wessel Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 No sign of an epaullette, although Angolias book suggests there should be one.Double belt at rear.

Paul R Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I did not know that this organization existed. Do you have any background information on it? How many members?
Wessel Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Hi PaulThe NSKK Motor Boat Units were formed to patrol German rivers. Originally they were called Kraftbooteinheiten (Kb on the collar patch), but in 1939 were renamed Motorbooteinheiten (Mb on the collar patch). The visor cap badge was a gold embroidered wreath over anchors, with a political national rosette swastika in black in the centre. The dagger is one of the rarest, being the 1936 chained NSKK, but with gold plated fittings. There were 5 Standarten, incl. Berlin, Rhine, Stettin, Lake Constance, etc.I don't know the numbers involved but presumably pretty small
