Wessel Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 A recent acquisition. Could be South Russian or maybe Balkans. Red piped Unteroffizier slip on boards. There seems to have been a cypher as there are 2 holes in each board. Were these removed for security reasons, or has someone post war taken them?Very well sun-bleached as you can see under the flaps.
Paul R Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Can you please post an image of the underside of the collar as well as the eagle? It looks to be a really interesting piece.
Wessel Posted April 12, 2008 Author Posted April 12, 2008 ...interior. It has 3 holes towards the back of each side for belt ramps.
Wessel Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 My other 'light-weight' tunic...again, southern Russia?Infantry officers.
Paul R Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 From what I can see(I am not a Heer Specialist), you have some very scarce tunics(conversions). Very nice! I would love to hear from some more experienced Heer collectors!
Sprocket Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 (edited) I found a couple of pictures in my library (I tend to keep copies of pictures of collectibles that are out there. Unfortunately I haven't been keeping up with them and posting the who, what, where, why and when so I don't know, or remember, who these belonged to, so I hope if the owner sees these he won't get angry. Of course the owner could have changed several times over the course of years that I've had these photos). This is an SS-Obersturmfuhrer of Engineers tunic. It was originally a dark-gray but the sun has bleached it out to a light-gray. The tunic is in the classic SS M1937 style. Note the insignia with the SS1 collar tab, the Gothic letter "D" shoulder board ciphers and the aluminum flat wire Deutschland cuffband.Bob Edited May 10, 2008 by Sprocket
Sprocket Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 And here is another light-weight gray tunic. This is an SS-Untersturmfuhrer of Artillery (or Nebelwerfer) tunic. Again, I don't know who this belongs to today...Bob
