Nope, not correct, some where already in a officers rank when they did qualify for the glider pilots badge, several examples are known and one of the most prominent ones was for example : Egon Delica (who did win the KC ;-)), etc ....Thank you for the clarification, Stijn. I think you should do a recreation of my uncle as CO of 9. JG 3 in the summer of 1940, so you need EK 1 and Spange, PilotObserver (J1), Juncker WW 1 Pilot Badge, WW 1 Wound Badge in Black and a Feldspange.
