webr55
hmmm... this bar raises a number of questions, most importantly: A XXIV officer's cross, but no Jubilee medal? I think this is an NCO's bar that has been monkeyed with. Maybe that should not even be Strelitz, but Schwerin...RegardsChris

Guest Rick Research
This is indeed virtually certainly an NCO's bar from Bavarian Inf Rgt 21. That is always the problem with hook back bars having the awards swapped off.The most common--overwhelmingly so-- Mecklenburg WW1 award to Bavarians was the "MK2" given by the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin to "his" Bavarian regiment. No 1905 or 1911/12 Jubilee medal indicates this person was not career army in 1912, or a reserve officer commissioned before then.So this bar originally had some grade of the MMC, an MK2, and an enlisted man's long service award. Ulsterman
well, I would and be happy into the bargain, Bavarian MVOxs and officers LS medals ain't easy things to come by and will come in useful someday.

webr55
In the interest of future collectors, I would suggest not leaving it this way. Those are all nice pieces in themselves, when separated...
