Gordon Williamson Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Here is an interesting shot of what I think is the printed block letter version of the Werkschutz cuffband in wear.
Paul R Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I would be interested to know what facility he work for?
Guest Rick Research Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Now THAT is a VERY weird uniform ensemble!he's wearing an ARMY cap eagle, what appears to be an SS-VT open lapels jacket, dark breeches...and his ribbon bar stuck on the top of his pocket flap.
Gordon Williamson Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 I think the dark breeches and lighter jacket ensemble was pretty typical, though there didn't seem to be any laid down regulation form of dress. Certainly a range of "proper" Werkschutz insignia was produced, but the extent to which is was worn seems debatable. I guess that most big manufacturing concerns just kitted their own guys out as uniformly as possible to look like each other regardless of looking different to guys in another factory somewhere else. Some did have really fancy uniforms with matching trousers, jacket and cap and even integrated the badge/logo of the firm into their uniform insignia. There was a Werkschutz gorget too.
paulbear Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 It would be interesting to see both collars as there appears to be a device on the left onePAULPS SORRY FOR THE LATE COMMENT but just saw this rare pic
Ulsterman Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 (edited) small world. I got this small id photo @ 10 years ago at a show in Massachusetts. I got it for the ribbon bar: Austrian and Hungarian 14-18 commemorative s ONLY! Edited November 12, 2008 by Ulsterman
