Tom Y Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 A new arrival from Schaumburg-Lippe via Stuttgart, the Kreuz f?r treue Dienst.Established in 1870 by F?rst Adolph Georg for "loyal service during the 1870-71 war".Reinstituted in 1914 by Duke Adolph, is was intended for "his" regiments, 2. kurhessischen Husaren Regiment Nr.14, Kavallerie Division, westf?llischen J?ger Bataillon Nr. 7, and rheinischen Husaren Regiment Nr. 7. In 1916 a noncombatant version on a "negative"of the ribbon was added.
Guest Rick Research Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 The case on mine is missing the entire upper part of the clasp, where yours is only missing the catch itself. Nice cases-- but crappy hardware! The actual noncombatant ribbon is exactly the same as their 1907 Jubilee medal: white with narrow red and blue edges. These neat little well made crosses are the only uniface German awards that I can think of.
westfale Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 To compare, here are some pictures of my cased cross:First the case and the cross...
westfale Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 ...and, at least, a more personel view of the cross.Hope you like it!westfale
