ccj Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I saw this photo for sale and wonder if anyone can ID the man or at least his awards. He looks to have had a super career...
Guest Rick Research Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 It's signed Ivan N. Kutev, Captain, Retired. It looks like he rose through the ranks, with a mix of enlisted and officer level awards. The Tsarist Russian Zeal Medal around the neck is really weird looking, isn't it?
ccj Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 [it is weird looking. Ya now, I've noticed many photos of officers, even colonels, show both enlisted and officer mox of the Bravery Order and the Bravery medal. Would this indicate prior service in the ranks or as a cadet?
Guest Rick Research Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 It was posted as a GIF (moving smilie ) and not a JPEG, so I had to "print screen" copy it and reattach it back where it... moved (??????????) on you.
Guest Rick Research Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 It is NOT converting to jpeg. It SAYS it is, but it ISN'T. Stop reposting it! Once (safely, immutably, print screen jpeg) is ENOUGH!!!!!!!!
ccj Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Look at this colonel. He have a Bravery medal leading his group.
Guest Rick Research Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I'm not even going to LOOK. If you are copying these off the same place, they are TOTALLY whacked, wrong format.I'm going away now to run endless anti-virus scans, me.So when THIS one goes poof or whatever, DON'T REPOST IT.
ccj Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) Not sure what you mean. All are jpg except the originally posted image.Check out this Captain. He has many grade of the Bravery medal/order.Question,what determine the grade of the order? Was it rank or was it similar to the French Legion of Honor where a person received a higher grade each time they were awarded the same order? Edited April 27, 2008 by ccj
ccj Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Check out this general who wears a Bravery Cross for enlisted men.
