Deruelle Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Hi, Here is a nice photo of an veteran of 1870-1871's war. Have a lookChristophe
Ulsterman Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Very nice-nice combo too:"Worth, Strassbourg and...." ?I especially like the schnalle mounted on the bar.
Ferg1 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Strange, but i thought that the Centenary medal at the end of the bar carried a yellow ribbon that one seems very dark ? Ferg1.

HeikoGrusdat Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 the third battle clasp should be " An der Lisaine " ......................
Guest Rick Research Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 VERY nice Merit Cross of the Z?hringen Lion group! No name on the back? Colors come out VERY oddly on these old photos which is what takes some training to get used to. The green and orange of the first ribbon and the yellow and red of the next to last one just look uniformly solid color dark. Dark blue, on the other hand, came out pale looking. At least here we have the actual awards to identify what is being worn. It can be impossible a lot of the time with just ribbons, and many identifications then are positional, by what they have to be per regulations.
