Deruelle Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 The most important is the name (but I can't read it). Thanks for your helpChristophe
HeikoGrusdat Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 I know him but I can`t remember where I have seen him before , he is a opera singer or something like that....
Guest Rick Research Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Yes, looks like G Wolff to me to, after "Hofoperns?ngerie-Baroken Abend Friedrichs.... 18.7.17Looks like the two loose medals are both Arts & Sciences, then his medal bar is Merit Cross of the Saxe-Ernestine House Order, Carl Eduard Medal, 1899 Wedding Jubilee, and Bulgarian Civil Merit Order-Knight.
Guest Rick Research Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Maybe. "Ladies' Night Out" doesn't seem to fit with HIM though.May have sung nice, but handwriting... Hmmmm, maybe the chicken scratch I'm trying to force into being Baroque is a weird first name and "Abend" is not literally eveniung, but the Lady Opera Singer's last name in this fan-autograph photo.....
Chip Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Also, I think the "Friedrich...." is a location along with the date and not a person's name. What do you think?Chip
Komtur Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Also, I think the "Friedrich...." is a location along with the date and not a person's name. What do you think?ChipYou are right: Friedrichroda is a small town in Thuringia.Regards, Komtur.
