Ferg1 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hi, could anyone enlighten me with any info regarding the Juncker/Deumer collaboration in respect of TR period aviation badges? Is this just a rumour or is there hard fact out there? Thanks,Ferg1.
J Temple-West Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hi Ferg1There is a lot of hard evidence to prove the collaboration between the two firms. Whether Juncker bought out the firm of W. Deumer or just supplied them with parts is unknown, but the badge below tells the story.Observer badge marked ? W. Deumer ? L?denscheid?Wreath and eagle produced by ?CE. Juncker ? Berlin?Construction (hinge-pin-catch-rivets) and finish by Deumer.
Karsten S Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Here are some more Juncker/Deumer Badges. It?s a Deumer with Juncker Eagle on the left and a straight Deumer on the right.RegardsKarsten
Ferg1 Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 Thanks for your answers guys, you you think that the picture attached is a deumer pin, flattened top to pin and ground channel below hinge? Thanks ,Ferg1.
J Temple-West Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 The rectangular catch plate was used by most makers on their zinc badges. The hinge (the closest I can get to is by Assmann, and the hinges found on their tombak/buntmetal badges) doesn't match any that I know of on any zinc Luftwaffe pieces...then, of course, this isn't a TR Luftwaffe badge is it? I'm intrigued?what badge is it?
Ferg1 Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Hi John , thanks for your reply, the badge in question is a Juncker marked marine zeppelin piece ,half sized. it is unusual in as much as it is two piece. Seperate zeppelin riveted to the main. These (although I have not seen another ) I believe are veteran association examples. Ferg1.
