leigh kitchen
Stone the crows - which decade was this? It always amazed me how cheap firearms were outside the UK years ago, all those adverts in US gun mags offerng Lee Enfields & K98's & the like for a few dollars. Ed_Haynes
I don't understand the whole "gun thing", but I do regret a nice HEICO-marked musket (pre-1842), all nicely marked, remounted in rosewood and mother-of-pearl furniture, converted to percussion, at $15 (US). But how to get it back to India (and thence to the US)? Should have gone to the Embassy, given some Marine $20 . . .

leigh kitchen
1970, 3R EK II were ?1.50. A double decal M35 helmet ?1.50 - ?5. My 1944 dated British para helmet cost ?1.50 I think. I have a medal guide from that time that lists 1914 Stars at 25p & suggests that collecting one to each qualifying unit would be a good beginners project.
