Paul R Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 How rare are these badges to find on the market? Very nice use of original photographs. We do not see too many of these.
pride Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hi Paul, i'm a noob of military collection but according to my experience this badge is one of the most rare, expecially the white-one. I have a lot og orig pics showing badges and other decorations. Waiting for other opinions about the rarity of this decoration. all the best
pride Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I received just today this badge. It appears an academy award but it's different from the others in shape and colour. This is dark blue. Anyone have some info?
THDG Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 (edited) Hi. I just arrived from Cuba with a blue one (and a star), does anybody know anything about it? With star: http://tinypic.com/r/2vb4n6h/5 With star (back): http://tinypic.com/r/5u0psm/5 Edited June 30, 2013 by THDG
Guest Rick Research Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 These seem to reflect Soviet designs for their civil univerities/colleges and the M1961 Lieutenants' schools--same translucent blue. How to date these without paperwork?.....
Paul R Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Thank you for creating this chart. How certain are you that the green badge never existed?
Riker87 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Hi Paul, I'm very certain (but not 100%^^) that the green one is not in original colour, because: 1. I've searched my big photo archive --> nothing, 2. I've searches in my cuban FAR book --> nothing, 3. the official organ of the FAR "Verde Olivo" doesn't say anything about a green badge, 4. the green badge has no enamelling, but every another academy badges which I saw had one.
Guest Rick Research Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Following slavishly the Soviet sytem, green would be for Border troops under State Security, not the military armed forces?
