Gordon Williamson
Two new arrivals. Firstly a nice variant of the L/53. Despite the appearance here, it has not lost its finish. What appears to be dark grey zinc wreath etc is the original finish which has darkened to an almost deep bronze finish. This is the third variant of pin/hinge fitting I've seen on the L/53 Minesweeper. Martin W
A couple of nice badges there Gordon.Despite the variations in the hinge and pin the large circular catch-plate is a definate feature on the L/53's,i think.Regards,Martin.

Three different hinge/pin fitting styles but always the same hook, on a large disc sitting in a recess on the reverse face.

Gordon Williamson
I would not say that Assmann Minesweeperes are rare. Moderately scarce, but not rare. It is hard to find one with all its finish intact though.
