Help with an unknown Weimar era ribbon

I presume the black and white ribbon sandwiched between the Kyffhauser and the DA is some sort of Weimar era award. Does anyone recognize it?

Preu?isches Kriegserinnerungskreuz f?r Kombattanten mit Schwertern (DN 2.02.31.b)

(see picture).

Maybe the wearer didn't find any ribbon that was exactly like the Veteran cross' ribbon...

I'd say Scott is right, this is the ribbon for the Prussian "Verdienstkreuz f?r Kriegshilfe". It was actually a royal Prussian award, but awrded from 1916 to 1924 is may be considered as "Weimar era", partly.

The nicer bar of those two should be the upper one, with the Bavarian "Beamtenband" for MVO or MVK.

Yes, it is a full size War Effort Cross ribbon on this home-made bar, squooshed under the next normal ribbon bar sized ribbon-- you can see the bulge it makes there.

Got it a couple of days ago. It's the Verdienstkreuz... Nothing exotic at all. For some stupid reason, when I looked at the picture, it never really "clicked" that I was looking at overlapping ribbons. I thought the red stripe on the left was part of the Kyffh?user, and that the ribbon was a purely black and white striped affair.

The Bavarian bar was the reason that I bought the pair. It's one of the 'two decorations on one ribbon' bars. I would have never thought that the War Merit MVK/MVO was common enough to warrant that.
