German imperial uniform question

Can anybody identify which state this soldier belongs to? Those two uniforms behind him seem Feldgrau to me, so he must be wearing the coloured uniform of before 1914?

Hi, I cannot tell you which state he is from, but I would not get too excited about the blue uniform. most of those kinds of pictures were taken in the depot system.

The state cockade seems fairly light in overall color, so perhaps they are Bavarian. A view of the other caps would be helpful, to see if they are also generally lighter in color than the Prussian cockades. Not being too sharp, the several colors blend together to an overall tone.

Thanks for your reply, please excuse my late answer. You raised an interesting point with the colour of the Kokarde, I tried scanning another cap just to see if you can make out anything that would narrow it down to Bavaria. I also uploaded a second picture of a cap because I'm fairly certain that one does show a Bavarian cap. What do you think?

I would think Bavarian rather than Prussian. But what were the colors and overall tone of the other kingly states? And were there sny other Kokardes?
