Stogieman
Greetings Rosenberg. This one is much more in line of what I think of when I look for these regimental/reservist pieces. Very nice! Thanks for bringing it here!
Rendsburg
Hi Rosenberg,A friend told me that the stein was made in 1894, see the two digits lower right, 94, so it was made in 1894.Otto Edited November 17, 2005 by Rendsburg
Rosenberg
Thanks a lot guys!Unfortunately I had to see mine is missing a top lid,but somehow I like it better this way.I had not known they made such fantastic pieces.@stogieman: Now I understand your railway scepticism This style is something different and of course a bit elder. When I saw the others of this style I have seen a lot of stuff for my wish-u-were here listCheers
Stogieman
My Favorite one of these is from a W?rttemberg Dragoons regiment. It has been sitting in the display case at a shop owned by a friend for almost 11 years. Another friend made a deposit and has been slowly "chipping away" at his balance. it wasn't much $$, but he has had some setbacks in his life. It was mint mint minty fresh and my only regret is I did not get there before the other guy!
