EK 1939 Ordensfabrik Fritz Zimmermann - Stuttgart

Hello,

Here is iron cross 2 nd. class that was awarded but never worn as such. It still coms in its original paper packet wich is maker marked " Ordensfabrik Fritz Zimmermann - Stuttgart " .

The cross on its own is not maker marked, the core is still in excellent shape. The silver frame is patinated over time. The ribbon is still full lenght and has the orange colour more then red.

True you don't see it to often, but more than that I like the number style in the 1939 date, I've one like this to K&Q, lovely looking packets.

Very nice set, and you are correct, you don't see these very often. I love these crosses that have the core paint intact. I also really like the date on that packet. Nice!!

Thank you for showing the sister (or is it brother) from my packet => now my piece does now that he is not alone any more

I have however a question as this thread did raise a question for me. Are the Zimmermann company of Stuttgart (LDO nr. 6) the same as the Zimmermann company of Pforzheim (LDO nr. 20) ? Are they related etc ... etc ...

I believe they are different manufacturers that happen to have the same last name. . .
