joerookery Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Does anybody know more about this company or the method? Fiber helmets were often made by what is believed to be this company. Does anyone have any information as to whether this was actually a company that assembled Pickelhaubes were simply a fiber maker? It seems as though the company name was used in the production of other fiber articles but when you combine it with the word patent??? Did they sell assembled products? Did they just produce fiber bodies? There seem to be in number of anomalies in some of these helmets including two known examples of fiber helmets with green underneath both visors. I just can't seem to find a lot of these guys... help me Mister Wizard.
Guest Rick Research Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'd say that is an acronym for the company's full name-- something along the lines ofDe-utschePa-tentH-?tten (?)A-ktienG-esellschaftis there any city location?
joerookery Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 No city location, and they seem to have provided helmets throughout Germany. Your idea is really really interesting.
KIR Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 With that symbol I would guess Berlin?... I think Chris is right - looks like the Quadriga in Berlin:http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandenburger_TorBest regards,Jens
