Obergefreiter Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) I showed this off on WWF, and I thought I might as well post photos of it here. This is the last piece in my collection that will ever have a price tag on it. Edited May 24, 2009 by Motorhead
gregM Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 You know my opinion. I am surprised no one else has offered anthing up.
Motorhead Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I've exchanged the pictures and .......well,I have to dig in my files! micha

gregM Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 (edited) To get the conversation going--I once posted a mini of roughly the same size and asked if it was a minior a prinzen. The responce I received was that because it was made asa single piece it should be classified a mini. A 1/2 sized prinzen would beof 3 piece consturction and be a accurate representation of a fullsizedcross. IMO--using that criteria, yours is a prinzen. Edited May 24, 2009 by gregM
Stogieman Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I cannot imagine a cross of such poor quality being real. look at the detail... I have seen/owned precious few of these rare birds and the quality/detail/crispness/sharpness of the core was astounding..... Nothing at all like what you have posted here.
Stogieman Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 My 1870 PG pix were lost in a crash many years back, but as a comparison, here's a pg 1914. Even this much later quality blows away what you have posted and the exact opposite should be true. Your piece should be of substantially higher quality than even this....
Motorhead Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 About the quality I'm with you,Rick! Simply I don't have a '70 Prinzen in my collection(just bacause Prinzen have never been my collecting field-exactely like the minnies!) So the only thing I can say here-the quality is much too low for such a piece.Don't forget-the '70 Prinzen found themself often at uniforms.....The '14 one-outstanding....could it be that this one has got a blued core?Micha
Obergefreiter Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 Thank you for your imput, gentlemen. I'll take it to heart, and research it in depth.
