HeikoGrusdat Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I am searching for more information , awards , military career and so on of Oberst Ziemer - Kommandeur of Altm?rkisches Feldartillerie Regiment N?40Here is a nice photo of him from 1909 unfortunately without any awards...thanks for all input and helpHeiko
Guest Rick Research Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Quite remarkably obscure. Franz Ferdinand Ziemer (1854-1932) was Generalmajor 22.04.12 commanding 2. Feldart Brigade. Chrakterisiert Generalleutnant 22.03.14 which certainly suggests he was not a slacker yet....The only awards we have for him are the routine "still breathing" Prussian Orders-- Crown 2nd, Red Eagle 3rd on Bow. The XXV Years Service Ceoss and 1897 Centenary Medal-- and that's it.He served as Commander of Munitions Columns and Train for Generalkommando 56 during the war-- but shows up on NONE of the award Rolls the collective Gnomery have worked on.

Just bizar this guy did not get anything.....
Daniel Krause Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 ...did not get anything is not right. He did not get anything from the known rolls.GK 56 was quite filled with Saxon decorations. So I assume he might have gotten a SK.Still nobody took care of Anhalt, Brunswick, Hessen, Oldenburg, Reu?, Hamburg, Bremen...Best regardsDaniel
