The design is on the money, I'm just surprised to see a "full" badge in lieu of a hollow one. All 1957 wound badges of any grade I've seen had a hollow back.

ADDENDA: Well what do you know... I just found 2 other "full" ones just like this one. Mind you, all it means is that there's more than one, not necessarily good because it's on eBay. But encouraging.

    Hi,

I was watching that auction with interest. The badge is a Souval from the 50s or 60s. His badges from this period normally still had a swas of course, but this is one post-war Souval that I simply can not fault. It will be interesting to learn if there is a tiny L/58 stamp somewhere on the reverse.

    Regards

    Mike

I was quite surprised to see that badge myself. And you're correct, it looked better (more original) than many WW2 ones I've seen.
