Bob Hunter Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) I have found the overlapping style of ribbon bar to be interesting and not frequently encountered. Is there a reason for that? Did the style fall from favor or did it just not gain wide acceptance? Edited December 8, 2005 by Bob Hunter
Bob Hunter Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 since I ran out of space for two pictures on one post, here is the flip side.
landsknechte Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Might have been a cheap person's way to cram an extra ribbon on a bar that was originally designed to have one fewer ribbons on it.--Chris
HeikoGrusdat Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Hi Bob,overlapping ribbon bar style was typical for austrin bars.... I have seen it often on austrian ribbon bars and even if yours is not total austrian there is one on it... Heiko
Stogieman Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 This bar is not really overlapped, per se... more of a very complicated folding that I have only seen a couple of times..
Deruelle Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Hi, First time I see a ribbon bar like this one. Interresting indeed.RegardsChristophe
Bob Hunter Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 Folded or overlapped there is no consistent pattern to the bar. Strange.
Stogieman Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Well there's at least one other out there....... somebody posted a similar one when this first came up over at one of the "Other Forum" sites.
