A fake or some kind of soviet "Model 1957" replacement?

The ring is slightly off to the left when viewing the obverse. But I'm no expert, far from it.

from my limited understanding, two points:

1) there were commonly later issues of these

medals, perhaps to coincide with anniversaries.

i strongly suspect this is a much later issue.

2) the sevastopol from the period was not

as common and there was a "stigma'

associated with it because it was a russian defeat.

It's a modern copy.

The ring is a dead giveaway.
